History: Rysamugatu Delrach was born on the planet Marll in the Ssomglar sector, at an early age he was tested and found to be force sensitive; separated from his parents and indoctrinated into the Academy for the Imperial Knights on Bespin where he was broken down and built back up to believe that the Empire was the one true Republic and in fact the 'New Republic' was little more than an open Rebellion being enacted against the real government. For eight months he served the Empire loyally and without question; he might have continued to do so if they hadn't asked him to go with a squad of Knights to the asteroid colony named 'Second home' and put down a rebellion. The Knights arrived and found little evidence that there was any rebellion to be found; their commander informed them that the local learning center (a library...) was in fact a direct violation of Imperial codes and was to be destroyed and the staff there, since they had engaged in open rebellion against the Empire were to be summarily executed. This didn't sit well with Rysamugatu as the staff consisted of four little old ladies, three teenage volunteers and the local town idiot that was given a library card and a couple of credits a week to clean the place up after closing. The situation felt wrong to Rysamugatu and the teenager that he was sent to round up and execute in the town square 'escaped' from his custody and somehow managed to get away. When he returned empty handed his immediate commander Imperial Knight Afastu Butabi gave him one of the librarians to execute when Rysamugatu hesitated he was told to carry out the orders he was given or that he would be executed and then the librarian would follow immediately after him. The Librarian met his eyes and nodded to him before turning away and kneeling on the ground before him. Rysamugatu activated his lightsaber and executed her. He thought that the Second Home was going to be safe afterwards, instead after the Knights returned to the Star Destroyer the asteroid was bombarded and left decimated. That was not what he had signed up for, it was not the Empire that he was led to believe in. On the two week journey back home Rysamugatu found himself haunted by the look that the Librarian had given him and the girl that he had freed. Rysa knew neither of their names and wondered if girl might have found someway off of the planet. When they arrived back to their home base Rysa decided that he was leaving and gathered up what little he had been given and slipped away before debriefing. He managed to make it off of the planet and was out of the system by the time any realized that he was gone. Rysa returned to Marll to find it a very different place than when he left. The Empire no longer had a presence there and while his father had died, his mother was still very much alive. Rysa told her what had happened and how he now felt lost and unsure what to do next and it was then that she told him about the brave Jedi Knight and his heroic friends who had routed the Empire from the sector. The story that she told him was completely different than the ones that he had heard in the academy on Bespin. She begged him to go to the Jedi Knight for guidance and help; in the end that it what Rysa did. Traveling undercover he made his way from Marll to Hapes and found the this Republic was much different than he had been lead to believe in and that the Jedi he had heard so much about was in fact an Alien! Something that was never allowed in the Imperial Academy on Bespin. Rysa has teamed with Jedi Knight Dirka Nahathmaq and has been taken on as his apprentice in the Jedi's campaign against the Hutts of Coruscant; only time will tell if he remains his apprentice or leaves to pursue other avenues or training. |
