His mother, Alta Minigrod, dated Stromgald for a brief while and for an even shorter time shared his bed. The problem wasn’t that they didn’t care for one another, but rather that Stromgald’s son Kae’ (a young child at the time) was jealous of the attention that Stromgald was showing Alta. The deciding choice was left to Kae’ and he voted against the idea of a ‘new’ momma (really being to young to understand what was being asked of him or having any idea what would transpire…) and it was thus that Alta left both Stromgald and Kae’s lives. Seven months later her son Strom was born and by this time Stromgald was in the thrall of the Darkside, concerned for the wellbeing of her son Alta hid his existence away from the universe fearing what the once good Jedi turned Darkside adapt might do should he ever find out about his secret son. Even after Stromgald’s return to the lightside she hid Strom from him fearing he would fall again or attempt to take her son, the only piece of him that she had, with her. Strom grew up knowing who his father was and the choice that his half brother made, while Alta realized that Kae’ was a young boy and truly unaware of the choice he was being asked to make, his decision was ultimately for the best in the long run as it spared her the fate that had befallen to other wives of Jedi who had fallen to the Darkside. When Strom was sixteen Alta thought it that he was old enough to finally meet his brother and arranged a meeting for the two of them. Strom was less than enthused with Kae’ and blew him off in favor of hanging out with his friends and getting into trouble. This would change when Alta was kidnapped by Dark Jedi attempting to draw Kae’ and his apprentice Drex Marr into a trap. Strom went to Kae’ for help and with the help of the Mutt Squad they were able to recover Alta. Strom finally saw the importance of the Jedi and was able to see the destiny that awaited him as he, like his half brother, was powerful in the force. Strom has become Drex Marr’s apprentice and when last anyone heard they were investigating Corellian Ale smuggling operations working out of the Raiparr sector. |
